Thriving During the Final Weeks of the School Year - Episode 088

A lot of parents are worried about how to get through the rest of the school year.

It’s one thing to deal with the frustration of monitoring school work. But it’s another thing to realize that your kids aren’t turning in their assignment.

Many parents want to know how they can guarantee that their kids are doing their work.

How do you get your kids to do their assignment? And how do you leverage the power that school districts are giving you? To help your kids make the best of their education in the final month or so of distance learning.

In this episode of School Counselor Gone Rogue, we talk about these ideas:

·         Design a plan that works best for your family. No two families are the same.

·         Involve your kids in the planning process. It’s about them.

·         Create an accountability routine. Don’t just take their word for it.

·         Take things one bite at a time. That’s how to manage the tension.

Overall, it’s important that you take things slow. Achieving one thing is better than sitting back and doing nothing.

Yet, the goal isn’t to feel tensed up. Make it easy for your family to go through the rest of the school year. And it’s okay if you don’t know how to decide what’s best for your family.

Join the Parent Workshop on Friday at www.teampasch.com/mayday. We’ll be creating a clear plan of action to help your family end the school year well.

Remember, whatever you do is going to be good enough.

Marni Pasch| Host of School Counselor Gone Rogue| Academic Coach | Team Pasch Academic Coaching

I work with students in grades 6th and higher, who struggle with academic confidence and motivation. I help them survive school with less stress by helping them create concrete goals, tackle procrastination and learn creative study techniques. I empower students to take charge of their education and reach their goals. I do this through individual or group coaching so students achieve success in life, school, career readiness and their social endeavors. I provided in person academic coaching in Orlando, FL, but work with students across the country through Zoom!
